Thenue Housing has served up a winner for dinner in the form of “Operation Steak Pie”.

The Christmas initiative is designed to support households most in need during the festive season and ease the cost of Christmas.

As part of the initiative, Thenue staff alongside the Glasgow charity The Halliday Foundation with additional support from contractor Mears delivered 300 food parcels across the communities where Thenue has tenants in a substantial and carefully-organised distribution operation.

Each parcel included a delicious steak pie or vegetarian alternative, festive vegetables, and a hearty soup pack - perfect for a warm and nourishing holiday meal.

The effort has been made possible thanks to a generous Christmas donation from contractor Sidey and funding from Thenue itself.

This support ensures that Thenue families can enjoy a traditional festive dinner without added financial stress – a pressing issue with the seemingly endless cost of living challenges.

Dawn McManus-Ferns of  Thenue, said: “We hope this small gesture will bring comfort and happiness to our tenants during the holiday season.

“We feel very privileged to be able to help out and bring the spirit of Christmas to so many households.”
