Over the past four years, leading procurement solutions provider, Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA), has been committed to driving social value for local communities and has recently built on this by introducing housing association charity, Lintel Trust, into its parent group.
SPA is sponsoring the SFHA’s Poverty and Inequality Conference, taking place on 18 February, part of the federation’s Housing Now, Housing’s Future event series.
SPA will be joined by Lintel Trust at this event to highlight the fantastic work that has been achieved by its Executive board partners through its innovative Community Benefit Fund. Lintel Trust manages SPA’s fund, which has helped benefit dozens of projects in Scotland, including vital Covid-19 relief schemes to help vulnerable people over the past 12 months.
During the conference, SPA will highlight social value initiatives, accessing match funding for projects, and provide overarching advice on how housing associations can drive social value for their tenants.
Clive Feeney, SPA Director, said: “Social value is at the heart of everything SPA do. As an organisation, we look to increase our impact in this area for our partners and their local communities. As a not-for-profit organisation, we re-distribute surplus to our partners via our Community Benefit Fund and rebate scheme. To date over £3.5 million has been given back to our partners.”
