Ensuring the continued strength of the governing body is an essential aspect of succession planning within any organisation. Across the social housing sector, there are many innovative approaches and resources available.

SFHA’s Governance Conference, on 4 October, will look at examples, from across the country, and how they have worked in practice, including ways to keep former governing body members connected to the organisation in an ambassadorial role, different approaches to the nine-year rule, and options for governing body recruitment.

The conference will also explore lessons learned from the pandemic and demonstrate how the housing sector has emerged stronger on the other side of unprecedented challenges.

Who should attend?

The conference will provide an opportunity for both staff and governing body members to network with peers from across the country, gain fresh ideas and hear different perspectives.

SFHA will be providing a courtesy coach to transport delegates between Glasgow city centre and Edinburgh.
