SFHA’s housing hustings event, on 14 April, will hear from representatives from each of Scotland’s main political parties.
SFHA believes everyone living in Scotland deserves a warm, energy efficient and affordable home in a thriving community. The majority of the political decisions which impact this aim - and our member housing associations who deliver homes like this across Scotland - are made in the Scottish Parliament.
Ahead of the Scottish Parliament election in May this year, SFHA has invited representatives from each of Scotland’s main political parties to take part in a housing hustings event.
Our hustings, taking place virtually on 14 April, will discuss issues that are relevant to the social housing sector. Panellists will have the opportunity to set out their party position and will answer questions from the audience on key issues.
Confirmed speakers include Kevin Stewart (SNP), Pauline McNeill (Labour) and Paul McGarry (Lib Dem). We have a commitment from other two parties to attend and individuals will be confirmed shortly.
