In July, SFHA published an updated version of its briefing for key audiences on rent affordability to ensure there is a greater understanding of rent-setting processes and the work carried out by housing associations in this area.
SFHA will now hold the first group discussion on the challenges and options around rent setting for the coming financial year. It will take place virtually on 21 September from 14:00 until 16:00. The event will be for senior staff from SFHA member organisations only and a space to openly discuss rent setting during the cost of living crisis. SFHA CEO, Sally Thomas, and Shona Mitchell, SFHA Policy Lead for rents and affordability, will be hosting the session.
Members can sign up to attend the session here.
In the meantime, SFHA is gathering feedback/comments/initial thinking from members in terms of the challenges around rent setting for the upcoming financial year. All submissions are treated as confidential and used to shape our work in this area. Please send any information you can share to Shona Mitchell at smitchell@sfha.co.uk
