Shettleston Housing Group has kick-started the new planning year with a gathering of all its staff and Board Members.
The Group includes Shettleston Housing Association along with its subsidiary companies, Upkeep Shettleston Community Enterprise and East End Housing Development Company. Group turnover last year was around £13.5M and more than 80 people are now employed by the Group.
The event was held at Shettleston Juniors FC club. Acting SHA Chair, Elizabeth Battersby, commended everyone on the achievements and progress made over the last 12 months with service delivery, investment and community impact.
CEO Tony Teasdale looked to the year ahead and set out the key priorities and work themes from across the Group including: Investment in existing and new homes; customer service; environmental impact; rent harmonisation; who we house and partnership working.
Guest speaker Fraser Stewart gave an inspiring and entertaining talk on the history and achievements of the community-based housing sector.
There were team-building activities, a health and well-being session and the presentation of long-service awards to twelve staff from across the Group.
