Larkfield Housing Association brought a Greenock community together on Friday 17 October for an afternoon of socialising, sandwiches, and singing, alongside opportunities to connect with local advice services and community partners.
With bingo, live music and a raffle, together with face painting and art stations for younger residents, the intergenerational event is just one of the ways Larkfield supports the community.
Lynne Griffin, Area Manager at Larkfield, said: "We're a tight-knit and engaged community here in Larkfield, and we're fortunate to have a community space to come together at the Larkfield Community Hall.
"An Open Day like this lets us introduce our tenants and local residents to partners who can provide useful advice and support, but most importantly it's an opportunity to check in with one another and have a chat over a cup of tea."
Attending partner organisations included Inverclyde Energy Advice Service, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and local businesses like social enterprise Crafting Together.
As part of the Link group of companies, partner Larkfield shares the wider group’s purpose of creating an environment our customers can proudly call home.
Link Group Director of Communities Sarah Smith said: "The Larkfield team set a high bar for tenant engagement and their work in Greenock is an inspiring model for housing associations across Scotland.
"As a housing provider, we have a responsibility to contribute to the wellbeing of the communities we build and manage, and we take that seriously."
