Survey: housing association-owned renewable, low-carbon, and energy storage technologies

SFHA members are being invited to complete a short survey that aims to record details of all renewable energy installations and energy storage installations that are in housing association ownership in Scotland.
By way of background, the Scottish Government appointed the Energy Saving Trust to produce a database of all community and locally-owned installations in Scotland, including storage installations. The database is used to report on progress towards the Scottish Government’s target for 2GW of community and locally owned renewable energy to be operational by 2030.
The next annual update is due in Spring 2022, and the Scottish Government is currently working with SFHA to conduct this survey to ensure the next update gives a true reflection of the renewables landscape throughout Scotland. The Scottish Government is also keen to ensure that the next report continues to reflect the excellent work Scotland’s housing associations are already undertaking in this area.
For clarity, this includes renewable technologies that have been installed on any housing association-owned property, such as offices and social housing, as well as on any housing association-owned land. The only eligibility requirement is that the renewable energy installation is wholly, or partially, owned by your organisation.
