TIS secures funding for city-wide project in Glasgow

The Tenants Information Service (TIS) has secured funding for a two and a half year city-wide project focussed in Glasgow.
The grant, awarded by the Glasgow Communities Fund, will concentrate on providing opportunities for individuals across the city to actively participate and engage within their local communities and empower people to identify and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
The new project ‘Engage Influence Change’ (EIC) aims to make a positive impact within Glasgow by increasing opportunities to influence and shape housing and wider community services, and will target three specific groups, including:
Over the course of two and a half years, the EIC Project will enhance the capacity and resilience of the diverse and flourishing communities within Glasgow. It will deliver services that enable and empower communities to become involved in the social, economic, and cultural life of the city.
Ilene Campbell, TIS Chief Executive, said: “This unique and innovative approach is a great demonstration of our commitment to explore all avenues to work towards an active, inclusive, and just Scotland where our communities are strong, equitable, and sustainable.
“The EIC Project will provide mentor support; e-learning opportunities; knowledge exchange; experience; and a range of materials to drive good practice forward. It will enable individuals and communities to reach their full potential and play an active role in the city of Glasgow.”
