The Scottish Government’s Ukrainian Resettlement team continues to seek out longer term accommodation for Ukrainian Refugees and is working with Local authorities and RSLs to secure accommodation through funding through the Ukrainian Longer Term Resettlement Fund (ULTRF) . So far, 976 homes have been brough forward and over 800 displaced Ukrainian people are in settled accommodation through the ULTRF alone.
The Scottish Government is interested in more proposals to improve and bring void homes back into use for long term social housing. The team also want to reach out to all LAs and RSLs, and ask them to consider if they have any additional proposals such as office buildings, hostels, care homes or social housing that are empty and could potentially be remodelled to suit a small community of UDPs.
For the ULTRF they are interested in off-the-shelf purchasing, new build, site purchase and reprovisioning of properties not currently in use as social housing. In addition, they are interested in proposals such as office buildings, hostels, care homes that are empty and could potentially be remodelled to suit a small community of UDPs.
