A Glasgow-based technology and business consultancy has joined the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations with an aim of supporting member organisations in developing and enabling digital transformation.

Waterstons, which is marking its 30th anniversary in 2024, has a strong background in the housing sector across the UK by providing a full suite of offerings which includes consultancy and advice services to support organisations in making better use of existing technology, the development of a business technology roadmap for the future, as well as undertake business process reviews, provide and advice and assistance with automation, and support innovation embracing new technologies like AI and Copilot.

This is in addition to offering managed services and cyber security, becoming a trusted partner to work with you and keep your data safe. As organisations embrace technologies like AI and Chat GPT, which have the potential to put organisations at risk if the impact of those technologies is not fully understood, data protection has never been more vital.

Lesley Buckels, Sector Lead for social housing at Waterstons, explains why joining the federation was so important: “As technology evolves, so must organisations, charities, and businesses across all sectors, but it can be difficult to know where to start, how to futureproof digital transformation, and enable a culture shift around innovation.

“In the social housing sector, associations and cooperatives are focused on improving the lives of customers and communities, and technology has enormous potential to do just that if used well. We are looking forward to spending more time with providers in Scotland through SFHA to truly understand each problem faced, and work on ways we can use technology to solve them – from making sure organisations are utilising the business solutions in place, to keeping data safe, to working through innovative and embryonic ideas to add value to the customer journey.”
