SFHA would like to inform all members that the Diamond Insurance Scheme will close with effect from 1 March 2026.

To ensure tenants and residents continue to receive high-quality cover and service, all customers currently insured via the Diamond Scheme (underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Ltd and administered by URIS Group) will transfer to ERGO Specialty Ltd on behalf of Great Lakes Insurance UK Ltd. The scheme will be administered by Thistle Tenant Risks.

All affected customers will receive direct communications explaining these changes and what they mean for their cover.

SFHA has worked with Thistle Tenant Risks for many years and is delighted that they will continue to provide cover. Many members already promote the Thistle Tenant Risks Home Contents Insurance Scheme to tenants; further information is set out below.

What we are asking you to do

• Destroy or recycle any Diamond packs you may hold in stock.
• Remove any references to the Diamond Scheme from your website and other materials.
• Use the approved Thistle wording for websites and resident communications, for copies, please contact the details provided below.
