Ben Keenan, housing services officer at Pineview Housing Association, was named the winner of the NextGen Leaders Award at last week's SFHA's Annual Conference.
The award, which recognises emerging talent in Scotland’s social housing sector, was presented to Ben by SFHA Chief Executive Sally Thomas at our Annual Conference dinner last week, where he was celebrated alongside fellow nominees for their outstanding contributions.
Ben joined Pineview in 2022 as an assistant officer after achieving a postgraduate diploma in Housing Studies. His dedication to Pineview's tenants and community saw him promoted to officer level within a year.
Mollie Stephen, who leads SFHA’s Routes to Housing project, said: “I’d like to congratulate Ben Keenan on receiving SFHA’s NextGen leaders award.
“The award is testament to Ben’s exceptional skill, commitment, and innovation in his work at Pineview Housing Association, which not only demonstrates leadership, but a passion for making a difference in his community.
“I’d also like to congratulate the other shortlisted candidates and indeed everyone who was nominated for this award. These emerging leaders will all play a prominent role in the future of Scotland’s housing associations and co-operatives as they continue delivering for tenants and communities.”
Ben was shortlisted for the award alongside Ryan Liddell of Hillcrest, Mia Hastings at Kingdom Housing Association, and Langstane Housing Association’s Chloe Beech.
