In November we hosted a roundtable on restricted electricity meters led by Energy UK (the trade association for the energy industry). This included an update for social landlords on the planned shutdown of the Radio Teleswitch Service (RTS) and the implications for restricted electricity meters which currently rely on this signal for effective operation.

There were many questions raised during the discussions and these have now been used to compile an FAQ document based on the responses. Please consider this a live document and let us know if you have any additional questions or points of clarification which you would like to raise.

Energy UK will be leading dedicated workstream on RTS throughout 2023and they offered to help facilitate a better dialogue with social landlords to make sure the transition for restricted meters can be properly communicated and managed.
