Home Group Scotland Director Bryony Willett was named among the winners at the Scottish Women’s Awards 2025.

Winning the Not for Profit Leader of the Year category, the award recognised the work she has done in leading the housing association over the past year, as it delivers for customers across Scotland.

Ms Willett joined the organisation as Director of Scotland in July 2024.

As well as continuing to oversee the housing association’s day-to-day operations across Scotland, Ms Willett has overseen the association’s first major retrofit project and a number of key development projects.

The retrofit scheme in Dundee saw Home Group Scotland carry out energy efficiency measures which aim to help significantly reduce customer bills in a block of 14 flats.

Under Ms Willett’s leadership, Home Group Scotland also worked with Edinburgh City Council to secure the eight larger family homes in a development in Queensferry, which were used to house families who had been homeless or were living in temporary accommodation.

Speaking about her award recognition, Ms Willett said: “It was a lovely surprise to see I had won the Scottish Woman of the Year Not for Profit category.

“It is great for our sector and Home Group Scotland to be recognised. In a year where our organisation also retained its place among the top employers for women, it reminded me that social housing provides an opportunity for a brilliant career for women.

“If awards like this provide a platform for our sector, encouraging more talented women to choose a career in housing, then that can only be a good thing.”
