As a sector, from regulatory returns to the availability of new technology - we collect more and more data about our tenants and the properties in which they live every day.

In order to mange this successfully and make better decisions based on the needs of the tenants, and to report on this effectively; how we understand, collect and use this data is of increasing significance.

Following on the work with SFHA on our social impact partnership in Scotland, it was highlighted that there is a need to provide further foundational steps to help social housing staff develop their ability and confidence around data.

On 9 February, HACT will be hosting training session on “Introduction to data in social housing” that will help build these skills.
