This week, representatives from across Scotland’s housing associations and co-operatives came together for a unique opportunity to not only to look back at the last half century - but forward to the future of our movement.
The event, at Edinburgh’s stunning SkyBar, saw the launch of our report into 50 years of SFHA – a copy of which members will receive shortly. With contributions from across the membership, it outlines the challenges and changes that SFHA and members have faced together.
Attendees had a sneak preview of our latest Housing at Scotland’s Heart film, which shines a light on the difference that Scotland’s social homes make to the people who live in them.
We also heard final reflections from Sally Thomas and thoughts from Richard Meade, CEO, on the sector and where we go next. David Linden (former MP and Holyrood candidate) provided insightful political context.
Further films will feature across our social media in the coming weeks – so do keep a look out!
