SFHA is teaming up with HACT and range of other UK housing bodies including the National Housing Federation, Community Housing Cymru and Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations on a project exploring how enhanced sector collaboration and Research and Development can identify and tackle the most significant challenges facing the UK social housing sector.
The multi-year project is looking to launch an initial 'Sector Roadmap' at the NHF/CIH Housing Community Summit in Liverpool on 8/9 September 2025.
SFHA will be attending a range of steering group meetings and providing support to the project, but we can't make it a success without the help of our members!
Share you examples of sector collaboration
To help HACT understand the current state of play with sector collaboration, they have launched a call for examples of collaboration across the social housing sector.
HACT want to hear your stories about what’s worked, what hasn’t, what you have tried and what we can learn – we want to hear all about it. Let us know about the successes, the setbacks and the real insight of working with your peers and fellow Housing providers.
Your insights will help directly shape the sector-wide Roadmap for collaboration and innovation.
To submit your examples email Emily Malcolm at HACT by 1 August – Emily.malcolm@hact.org.uk
Join us at a SFHA/HACT Sector Roundtable
We will be also hosting a roundtable for Chief Executives (or those able to deputise) on 19 August, 2-4pm with HACT.
The purpose of the roundtable is to explore the sector’s most pressing challenges and long-term opportunities, assess the appetite and potential for collaborative action, and inform the design of future infrastructure and investment in social housing R&D across the UK.
If you are a chief executive or deputising colleague, and are keen to attend, get in touch by 17 July with mharley@sfha.co.uk
