The webinar on 16 February will discuss the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS), and why adoption should be a priority for 2023.
The Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS) is fast becoming the go-to environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting framework for the UK affordable housing sector – with a growing number of Scottish RSLs signing up.
More than 120 organisations across the UK have now adopted the SRS – but what are the benefits of signing up to the sector Standard? And what value does it deliver to individual organisations and the sector as a whole?
If you’d like to learn more, don’t miss the free webinar at 10:00 on Thursday 16 February to hear from Sustainability for Housing, key actors in the sector and current adopters, on what the Standard is all about, the collective value it is delivering, and how it enables adopters to measure, report and enhance their ESG performance in a transparent, consistent and comparable way.
The webinar will also be touching on the 6 big benefits of adopting the SRS:
Join a growing community that is supporting the sector and its residents on the ESG journey.
Help to lead and shape the reporting of the sector’s sustainability performance.
Enable lenders and investors to assess the ESG performance of housing providers, enabling access to finance.
Support work with residents and other stakeholders to create positive social and environmental outcomes.
Feature within the SRS Directory to enhance visibility and connectivity in ESG and social housing.

SFHA attends the SRS Board to represent members' views. The chair of an SFHA member organisation is also a full member of the SRS Board, ensuring the Scottish perspective is reflected in discussions. An event for Scottish members to help shape the next version of the Standard was held in December.
Later in 2023, SFHA intends to publish practical support for members highlighting the best practice which currently exists in Scotland in adopting and measuring against the Standard. If your organisation would like to share their experience, please contact Shona Mitchell, SFHA Policy Lead, at smitchell@sfha.co.uk
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the SfH team at srs.contact@thegoodeconomy.co.uk
