Delivering the vision of NPF4 – a White Paper launch by Anderson Bell Christie
Webinar: Tuesday 13 May, 14:00 - 15:00
Following two years of research with Strathclyde University, supported by funding from Innovate UK and Scottish Enterprise, Anderson Bell Christie will launch its White Paper, titled Balance. This document will set out a roadmap to deliver the policy change needed to realise the vision of NPF4.
NPF4 demands a holistic approach to our built environment, which will require collaboration across sectors, with leadership from a variety of built environment professionals and academics.
The White Paper addresses the dual narrative of 1) dramatic carbon reduction in buildings through Circular Construction and the formation of a new Deconstruction Industry and 2) rapid urban greening to deliver carbon sequestration locally. Taken together carbon balance can be achieved at a place-based level. Doing so will directly mitigate climate change impacts such as urban heating and flooding, while enhancing biodiversity, air quality and wellbeing.
We welcome all voices in the built environment to share their expertise and discuss the issues raised in the White Paper.
