Can a third sector partner be involved in more than one bid led by a relevant body?

Yes, a third sector partner can be involved in more than one bid by a relevant body. In addition to this, they may also lead one bid as long as the main focus of the bid involves a relevant body.

Can a relevant body be involved in more than one bid?

Yes, a relevant body can be involved in more than one bid. However, they can only act as the lead applicant in one bid.

Is the opportunity for pilot projects limited to only one RSL consortium?

The intention to seek a minimum of one pilot per relevant body and sector is to ensure that all sectors are represented within the overall pilot programme. While it is hoped that there will be at least one bid, there could be bids from several Health Boards, Local Authorities, RSLs, and other relevant bodies. It does not mean that only one RSL consortium would be considered. Multiple RSL-led consortia can be supported, particularly where they are formed around different localities, services, or target groups. The emphasis is on achieving broad sector coverage, rather than limiting applications to a single project per sector.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of funding I can apply for?

No, there is no cap on the amount of funding you can apply for. However, when preparing your bid, please refer to the guidance on eligible and ineligible costs.

Can I apply with a bid previously submitted for similar funding such as the Upstream Homelessness Prevention Fund?

The Test and Learn Prevention Pilot (‘ask and act’) Fund is an entirely new programme. While you may be able to adapt a previous bid, it should clearly align with the aims and objectives of the ‘ask and act’ fund and fully meet the eligibility criteria. Pilots can however build on previous best practice as long as the pilot is designed to support new initiatives. If you are unsure whether your proposal is suitable, please contact us through the general enquiries section of the site.

Can I apply for monies to fund or expand an existing service?

Proposals built around already funded prevention initiatives will not be funded.
