Langstane Housing Association has announce that Chloe Beech, Property Surveyor, has been shortlisted for the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations' (SFHA) NextGen Leader Award, a key highlight of the organisation’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

The NextGen Leader Award recognises outstanding young professionals under 30 who are driving positive change in Scotland’s social housing sector. Chloe’s shortlisting reflects her contribution to Langstane and the wider industry, particularly in a field traditionally underrepresented by women.

This year, the SFHA received a high number of nominations, all of an exceptionally high standard. With only four individuals making the final shortlist, being selected is a significant achievement in itself.

Chloe commented on the nomination: “Winning the SFHA’s NextGen Leader Award would be an incredible honour and a powerful recognition of my journey as a young professional under 30 in the housing sector. As a Property Surveyor in a predominantly male-oriented field, this award would highlight the importance of challenging industry norms and creating space for more diverse voices. It would affirm the impact of my work so far and fuel my passion to keep driving positive change, innovation, and collaboration.

Most importantly, it would give me a platform to inspire other young people, particularly women, to pursue careers in housing and believe in their potential to lead.”

The winner will be announced at SFHA’s Annual Conference in June, where shortlisted nominees will have the opportunity to network and learn from sector leaders and peers.

Langstane extends its warmest congratulations to Chloe and wishes her every success at the awards.
