Friends, family and colleagues gathered to wish Mina Maclean a long, healthy happy retirement this week. Mina has worked in housing for 33 years with the majority of these as the Allocations Officer at Hebridean Housing Partnership.

Retirements are always full of mixed emotions, happy that Mina is getting to retire in good health and on her own terms but sad to be losing a valued, experienced and loyal colleague.

Tribute was paid to Mina by John Maciver who presented her with flowers and a monetary gift from colleagues at HHP and CNES. Dena Macleod, Chief Executive also paid tribute as she presented Mina with her long service gift of a laptop.

Mina thanked everyone for their generosity and said “Over the years I’ve had the privilege of working with you and together we faced challenges, celebrated success and most importantly helped hundreds of individuals and families to find a place to call home. Thank you for all your support and friendship over the years. As I step into retirement I do so with a full heart and deep gratitude, looking forward to new adventures, slower mornings and a few lie ins but I will always look back on my time at HHP with pride and fondness”

At the start of the Board meeting in June the Chair thanked Mina for all her faithful service over the years and wished her a long and healthy retirement.
