This conference will provide an opportunity for both staff and governing body members who attend to network with peers from across the country and come away with fresh ideas and different perspectives. SFHA 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM)

11 October, Online Webinar

Our speaker this for this years AGM will be Emma Congreve, Economist and Deputy Director at the Fraser of Allander Institute. Emma's work at the Institute is focussed on policy analysis, covering a wide range of areas of social and economic policy. 

Emma is an experienced economist and has previously held roles as a senior economist at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and as an economic adviser within the Scottish Government. 

Her particular area of expertise is economic policy relating to low income households. She also has a background in a range of policy areas, including local government finance and environment and agricultural economic policy.

Scottish Rural & Islands Housing Conference

31 October - 2 November, Stirling Court Hotel

The conference is a must-attend for rural housing association leaders and board members and covers a range of topical issues concerning rural housing and communities in Scotland. As ever, the conference aims to update and inform delegates of the changes and initiatives that are taking place and to provide an opportunity for frank and open debate.

Factoring Conference

6 December, The Studio, Glasgow

An SFHA, SHARE and GWSF partnership forms the Scottish Factoring Network which provides support for housing practitioners and social housing organisations that are involved in delivering factoring services to owners.

The conference will update delegates on policy and legal developments through strategic plenary sessions and share pragmatic operational advice, with a selection of practical workshops.

The conference offers an excellent opportunity for delegates to network with others working in factoring from across the country as well as to hear expert opinion on issues surrounding factoring in person.
